Abstract painting has always held a special place in my heart for its ability to evoke a sense of mystery and intrigue. Unlike traditional figurative paintings, which depict recognizable imagery and convey specific meaning, abstract paintings leave much to the interpretation of the viewer. This open-endedness allows for a deeper, more personal engagement with the work.

As an artist, I approach my own abstract paintings with the intention of creating a sense of playfulness and experimentation for the viewer. I believe that there is not a right or wrong way to view my paintings, and I want my audience to feel free to engage with the work in whatever way resonates with them personally. That is why I hang my paintings in a way that allows the viewer to rotate them, so that the painting can be viewed from different angles and perspectives depending on the space and the point of view of the viewer.

Furthermore, I don’t sign my work on the front side, because that would create a right way to hang the painting and limit the freedom of the viewer to see and interpret the work as they wish.

One of the reasons I am drawn to abstract painting is the sense of freedom it provides. Each viewer is free to see and interpret the work in their own unique way, unencumbered by the artist’s intent or preconceived notions of what the painting should represent. It is a medium that invites us to explore our own thoughts and emotions, and to find our own meaning within the composition.

Furthermore, abstract paintings often push the boundaries of traditional representation and challenge our preconceptions of art. They can be difficult to understand at first glance, but when one takes the time to really look, there is a whole world of complexity and depth waiting to be discovered. It’s not always easy to look at, but that’s exactly what makes it so captivating.

In summary, I love abstract paintings for their ability to provoke deep, personal thought and imagination. They are not fixed or easy to look at, but when I come to love an abstract painting, it will always give me new ways to look at it, as my perspective changes and evolves over time.
